To My Fellow Energy Experts,
I read an article the other day that says the unemployment rate for returning Veterans is over 18%. I was shocked to hear that and did some research to see if there was anything we could do as “Green Collar” Energy Efficiency Companies. I found an opportunity to be able
to train and mentor returning Veterans to get them their BPI Building Analyst and Envelope Specialist certifications and to get some on the job training money for companies that hire them.
This is a great opportunity if you are thinking of hiring anyone as energy auditor, efficiency worker, office help, or any other green job. You get somebody fully certified as BPI Building Analyst and Envelope Specialist, has on the job mentoring, and you could possibly get some on the job training money for the first few weeks of employment.
Rumor on the streets says Efficiency Kansas Utility Track Loan program will be back soon with a streamlined application process….more work for us…..
Energy Works KC just announced a simplified incentive and rebate program that is outstanding….more work for us…….
BPU just received a grant to bring back their utility track loan program……yep…more work for us……
If it looks like you are going to be hiring any help in the near future please call me and talk to me about this opportunity. I need to give the funding source some type of indication that there is a market for employment and your input is needed.
Thanks much,

I can validate the article written by my business partner Rob Jones, because I am a returning Veteran, who proudly served in the US Navy for 8 years. There is something to be said for those that serve and defend this country. In addition to their dedication, they have had basic training, specialized training and real world experience ~ this all adds up to someone this is: punctual, clean cut, professional, attention to detail oriented…need I say more? So, if you are looking to fill a new position or are ready to grow your company farther, then I say give a returning Veteran a few extra bonus points when it comes time to hire the right person.
Just my two cents...
